Kansas City was able to do enough against the Chargers defense, on a 329-yard day. Kansas City defense is allowing 19.6 points per game, the eighth-best average in the NFL. They’ve allowed 311.9 total yards per game, also eighth in the league, and they are third-best against the rush, giving up just 87.8 yards per game on the ground. Versus the Raiders, they allowed a total of 434 total yards and 20 first downs and despite forcing just one turnover, they still did excellently to limit their opponents scoring. This is the place in the road where Los Angeles sees who they really are, and while the defense has done plenty, their offense will give the greater picture as they head towards the stretch. Kansas City’s balanced offense and stout run defense give them the edge in this matchup. While the Chargers’ defense could keep it close, the Chiefs’ ability to control time of possession (32:17 per game) and Mahomes’ playmaking will likely prove decisive.

The Rams are the fifth worst rush defense as they are allowing over 144 yards per game on the ground. Josh Allen will be able to pass the ball, but his legs will be lethal in this game. The Rams have also struggled against good teams. They are 2-5 against the spread when they have been underdogs.
